The series Impermanent Sculptures continues to expand, now over landscapes that evoke imemorial times, in which life climbed faltering steps in its everlasting pathway of evolution.
Everything is ephemeral, one day it all shall pass, even the stones that emerge over Brazilian forests or cut through the path of a river, or tall trees that collect rings in their trunks, reminding us of the passage of that which we call Time.
In an attempt to settle the essence of this flux in the form of fantastic images I use light painting techniques along with digital overlaying. I draw lines that emerge on landscapes from human interpretation, thus nature is not familiar with lines, but with planes, flows and ever changing surfaces.
Entities is the new set of photographs within the major series Impermanent Sculptures. The manifestation and development of life in this planet is the focus from which these photographic images were though. Or maybe it was from something prior to life itself, rather an impulse, a primordial force… something that was always present, and that will endure even after we return to the apparent sterile soil as found on the surface of Mars.
Photos produced in the states of Bahia, Goias and Federal District, Brazil, in late 2015 and early 2016 by techniques of light painting and digital overlaying, with the help of the friends Pedro Lacerda, Jaqueline Dias, Marco Aurélio, Lucas Rodrigues and Helton Azevedo.
