Vitor Schietti, born in Brasilia in 1986, but feels like a citizen of the world, having lived and traveled across over 20 countries by the age of 30. Photographing his journeys across the globe, exploring long exposure photography, shooting video and rock climbing are among his favorite things.
While dedicated to his authorial work, much based on the study of the unconscious and of the dream realm, Schietti also ran, for six years, a photographic studio specialized in advertising and corporate photography in Brasilia.
Presently Vitor is the cultural manager of Espronceda Center for Art and Culture in Barcelona, where he engages the art market from a different perspective.
He’s participated in over a dozen exhibits, among collective and individual in Brazil and abroad. Schietti's series “Impermanent Sculptures” was also awarded at the PDN 2016 Photo Annual. Vitor is represented by a two in Brazil.
Schietti has a Bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Brasilia.
