This year, even more then the past few, I felt a calling to go photograph the Women’s March. It would be my second while living in Barcelona and last year I regreated missing the opportunity.
The present world is out of step, lacking in a conscious direction, lost of its sense of community, and shouting for revolution… It’s when the female face of our humanity starts to shine again what was held opaque, paving the way to the urgent equilibrium we seek.
“Without the women, there will be no revolution.”
The energy at the streets of Barcelona was contagious, it was felt in the agitated bodies, in the waves of shouts and applause, in the drums and hymns, in a profusion of posters that dialogued with each other.
The female power renews itself, the intuition and the resilience are born from the crack on the ground.
